Dutifulness

Ø  In the famous Ramayana epic, Rama’s exile spread all over the palace and city of Ayodhya and it makes the people of Ayodhya heart broken.

Ø  When Rama heard the news, he rushed to meet king Dasaratha and kaikeyi. Rama saw his father sitting in a corner, tired and defeated. Rama realised that the only way to solve the problem was to accept the kaikeyis demands and leave ayodhya, because that would save not just himself but also king dasaratha’s honour and pride.

Ø  Rama explained to his father that Bharatha was more capable than him and also deserved person to be the king. Rama also said that he wanted to lead a spiritual life and a luxurious life in the palace would come in between and his wish to be with God.
Rama touched his parents feet to take their blessings and quietly left the room.

Moral:  Finally, Rama was a duty bound to fulfil his parents’ wishes and didn’t want to hurt them.
